Bred in the early 60’s during the heyday of “REAL ROCK & ROLL” The Melody Makers became one of the southeast’s most sought after bands for college frat parties, concerts and those glorious days at the beach.

The band’s high-energy stage presence and musical repertoire catapulted their celebrity and has set the standard for many of the Carolina’s dance bands that have formed since the 60’s.

Because of this dynamic presence, their popularity has spread up and down the east coast from Virginia Beach to Palm Beach.

With the release of their first record, “I Who Have Nothing”, their popularity sky-rocketed. Three more records were produced, culminating with their hit, “Everlasting Love”, which made the Top 10 East Coast Billboard Magazine poll in 1969.

The band has appeared with numerous “Dick Clark Road Show Stars”… among them The Buckinghams, The Five Americans, The Brooklyn Bridge, Johnny Maestro, The Drifters, The Tams and The Swinging Medallions.

The group was also chosen to be the opening act for Bob Hope at Clemson University’s Fall Bash and Jeff Foxworthy’s Comedy Benefit for Duke University’s Children’s Hospital.
